Reminds me of another person claiming to breed Amanos in fresh water. Pictures were taken of the juveniles, and they ended up being Scuds.

I loved the natural colored cherries. I got a single brown female in the order I received last year. Now I have may different colored cherries, my favorite are the ones that are so dark brown they look almost black. I also have one that is a nice orange color. I run a cannister filter with a sponge prefilter on my 75, and a redsea nanofilter on my 2.5 with a sponge prefilter.

I bought 15 shrimp from Mustafa in August, from those 15 I have had hundreds of offspring!! I think the $65-$70 is more than worth it. Think of it as an investment.

I was dosing my tank heavily with Flourish, and never had any problems. However I have heard of someone dosing an extreme amount to raise Iron levels having shrimp death. I think if you dose according to label and do regular water changes there should not be a problem.

I just picked up some similar shrimp at my LFS they were being sold in the tank with amanos. I bought 5 of them I think I have males and females.
