Just to update...I have a tank full of clear/grayish little shrimp which obviously came from the blue shrimp.

Mine do it all the time and will even float around when I feed the tank to catch any unsuspecting piece of food.

Well to keep it a bit on topic the Hc and plant mass is like a jungle gym for the shrimp!

The plants trap food and such that the fish don't get and it feeds the shrimp.

Just to update the LFS has posted these as green algae eating shrimp...

Yep it's HC but the left side is HM and Rotala sp. green that decided it wanted to be foreground plant as well as a stem.

They are doing great and in contrast to all the green plants they look really blue!
There is one that is pitch black though and it happens to be a she that is berried so well see if the color carries over to the offspring.

I.D. New shrimp please?

I got these from a LFS today and was told they received them as Green algae eaters but I compared them to the Varieties profile section and they look like the Neocaridina sp. "blue" Here are some pics.....if anyone can confirm it would be great. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v629/eklik...

my little rcs tank has flora root substrate so i cant actually siphon it so never have. just water changes and they have been doing great!
