I had a few dwarf Mexican crays with shrimp they were chopping bits off the shrimp too, so I removed the crays, the shrimp grew back the missing bits after a few molts.

The shrimp gave birth to her young and now has eggs again, maybe she is getting new eyes but I cant see them she is still moving about slowly. Thanks for the advice, I guess it must have been a water quality issue, though I dont know what could have been wrong. Thought I would say thanks and give an...

Thanks for showing the excellent pics.

Thanks for the feedback and attempts to help. I have had the shrimp nearly three months. I don’t see much of it as it lives in a dark corner of the tank under some wood. I got it from an LPS (LFS) with five other shrimp all of which are cherries, they think their dealer got the shrimp from Israel. M...

Would like an id for this shrimp

Had a look through the species list to try and identify this guy. The shrimp was supposed to be a cherry but doesn’t seem to be, quite different in look and behaviour, I rarely see it its quite shy hides most of the time and only comes out after lights out. If anyone knows the species I would be ver...

I think shrimp prefer sand, they spend lots of time sifting through it and turning over the grains, they seem to find lots of food on it.
