So wait now I'm confused. Is CO2 bad for shrimp too? And I thought you could use small amounts of fertilizers without affecting shrimp?

Maybe. Really no way to know. Translate the page and you might get your answer. Just go to an online translation site and copy and paste it.

It could be Bacterial shell disease which can be caused by a bacteria or Burn spot disease, caused by a fungi (I think). As for medication, I don't know what would work or if it would even be safe to use.

Fruit for Shrimp?

I was wondering if I could give my shrimp a supplement/treat of fruit. I was thinking mango, apple or maybe pear,-nothing too fancy. I need to know if this mess with my water quality or hurt my shrimps.

Do a search of the forum and the shrimp varieties page for the answers you need. Tip: Always do a search of the site before asking a question. This is a rule and you gotta follow it. :-)

Try broadening your search. I couldn't find anything specific, but if you maybe search for mainland crays, you might get something. Also maybe ask your local fish and wildlife service. I know (at least in the Illinois) there is list of crustacean species. Maybe you can find something similar.

prolly not the crabs or nudibranchs. If you were going full s.w. maybe the amphipods and copepods might work. Can't really comment on it though. Opae are best kept in brackish water.

Kind of whitish-blue? This could mean a sick shrimp.

Also I noticed shrimp seem to stay within their own species, amanos with amonos, ghosts with gosts, cherries with cherries, etc. The only shrimp that don't seem to do this are my macrobrachiums. I wonder, why they wouldn't they interact with the other species. Sometimes they eat together, but when a...
