Are those Malayan shrimps? As far as I know, only Malayan shrimp comes in a multitude of colours. I've seen brown, red, clear, black, orange and blue malayan.

If it is, then they will breed like the cherries, CRS, bees and tigers.

I havent done anything to clean (except the occational glass scrubbing) my shrimp only tank since day one which is almost 6 months old now and my water is still cyrstal clear and my shrimps are HAPPY!

That's the advantage of shrimps! You need not clean as often as fish tanks! :-D

From observation of my red-nose, I think the female tends to be bigger in size and comes with less red stripes while the male tends to be smaller but are more colourful in terms of red stripes on their bodies.

Its not that no one is interested, I think its just that no one knows what this "Chinese Shrimp" is without a picture. Mere description is very very difficult to ascertain or ID any shrimp.

I think any hint of agressor will result in your shrimps hiding and therefore makes them difficult to spot. I see no reason for having any shrimps if you kept on trying to look for them in between your plants ;-)

This malayan shrimp is sometimes called "rainbow" shrimp over here and and in Sg. and for obvious reason. They change to multitude of colors and the change is quite permanent. We normally identify them by their long thick stripe that run from head to its rear. FYI, this typ of shrimp is th...
