Re: Ghost shrimp ID?

Hey guys! I was also wondering if a shrimp I have is in fact a ghost shrimp. Let me know what you think. I'm questioning because she just seems so big compared to the others, and she has stripes

Keeping a shrimpless tank

Hello, my question is: If I have an aquarium that is set up, but without shrimp, do I still need to perform weekly water changes?

Thanks!

Re: My First Tank

I have successfully started 4 tanks from scratch using Amano shrimp. Ghost shrimp would be fine too and they are cheaper. Before anything, ...

Giant african shrimp

Hey all! I finally found a Giant African shrimp in Montreal. I've been trying to get my hands on one of these for years. Does anyone know how long it take for them to reach full size?

Re: Red Cherry Shrimp problems

Hello, it is best to wait more than just over a week, to let the tank cycle. Check your water parameters and maybe it will indicate high ammonia. This behavior sounds like poor water quality.

Let me know what the readings you get are.

Re: What shrimp can be kept with cherry shrimp?

Do you think that if fed, the cherries would have survived?

Bubbler for crayfish

Hello, I am getting different opinions on whether or not it is necessary to have a bubble maker for crayfish. Some say they have successfully kept crays for a long time without air stones while others claim that without, the crays would drown. I have to say that I am quite confused now. If anyone co...

What is the most active crayfish?

Hello all!

I was wondering what type of crayfish is generally more active than others? Also, are males more active than females?
I ask because I had a crayfish (procambarus clarkii, female), and found her to be always hiding.

Thanks for the info.

Another good option is a small group of Otos. They are vegetarian and really good algae eaters.

Indeed, I got 2 Ottos, and they quickly solved my brown algae problem.

Cheers!
