I've kept Red Cherry Shrimp outside since last summer. The temperature has been from 3 to 32°C (37.4-89.6°F). Not all the shrimps survived the winter, but some did and they've been breeding again this summer. What did you keep them in? I keep them in 65 litre plastic containers on my balcony. http:...

Salt will not harm cherries if it's for a short period. I don't know if it will harm them over longer time. I had a 30 liter cherry tank, where the shrimps got some type of fungus. I did a 50% waterchange and added 30 grams of salt to the fresh water - and added it slowly through a dripping airhose....

Re: Macrobrachium assamensis and fish?
http://img64.imageshack.us/img64/6327/d61b4sm.jpg I think it looks a lot like the Red Claw shrimps I had. The dark markings on the head/front body looks different than those on rosenbergii. There's some pictures of my Red Claws here: http://www.aquabo.dk/index.php?id=7&pid=2 Mine could catch an...

I managed to take a few more photos of the shrimps. Since they are small - 20-25 mm. - and almost transparent, they are quite a challenge for my camera. I have at least 3 females carrying eggs. The eggs look smaller than Bumblebee eggs, but not as small as Amano eggs. http://www.aquabo.dk/img/caridi...

Help with shrimp ID please.
Hi I need some help to ID these shrimp. They were bought as Neocaridina sp. "coloured". Probably just a name made up by the shop. They vary a lot in colur from almost transparant to yellow and sometimes brown with dark markings on the body. Because of the curved back I think they might be ...
