How fast do Halocaridina rubras grow?

Who can tell me by experience how fast (slow) the just benthic juveniles grow?
After what time do they grow for example 1 mm ?
During their expected live time of approximately 20 years, when do they reach 12 mm?
When do they become pregnant the first time, …which length in which time?
Tnx Gerd

Re: Shrimp in cold water fish tank?

Hi, for 7 years I kept Red Cherry during warm summer and cold winter continuously in a 250 l black container (100x50x50 cm) outside in the garden. During the freezing temperatures I switched on a 100 watt heater do prevent water temperatures below freezing. At times the surface was covered with 10 m...

Re: Opae Ula Trial & Error

Hi Courtney, please let us know, what you did with your 2 Gallon tank. Temperature, salinity, light, food, what kind of rocks and very important, how long did you wait after starting the tank with Halocaridina rubra? Recommended salinity is 12 ppt (about 1.008 sg) to 23 ppt (about 1.016 sg). Regards...

Re: Sulawesi shrimps, new experiences.

Sulawesi shrimps, new experiences.

We are still experimenting with coral sand or just sand, plants, food and other parameters. It woul...

Re: Cardinal Shrimp

Mustafa,
due to the very different values of tap water in Germany we use RO water and mineral salt 8,5 with increasing success in breeding Sulawesi shrimps.
That means that abt. 200 to 250 microsiemens are recommended.

Re: Cardinal Shrimp

She looks lovely. How is she faring in your current tank? Hi Mustafa, we made an import from Aristocratama via A.-Holland. My part of that shipment were 20 Yellow Noses. Within the last 3 weeks 10 died. 4 are carring eggs now. Interesting was the water conductance, instead of abt. 200 us we measure...

Re: Sulawesi Mineral 8.5 dissloving

Hi stonefox, exchange a certain quantity of tank water with osmotic water. Take 100 to 200 ml osmotic water and fill mineral 8,5 in and mix it a few seconds. Now all of this mixture should be given slowly in your tank. After a few hours it will change from milky to clear water. The salt must not be ...
