Tonight... Lovely algae (could be diatoms, I guess) in this tank. Everyone seems to like it. :)

Re: Okay... Gonna try an "accepted" set up.

Yes, Ken. Larvae are now in both the Bookshelf and the original 10 gallon tank. Still no larvae in the "accepted" tank, and still only 2 or 3 shrimp showing at a time. I've attempted to feed the "accepted" tank, though the food goes ignored. I end up fishing it out. (Food is imme...

Re: Okay... Gonna try an "accepted" set up.

Look what I found in the original filtered, etc 10 gallon tank a few minutes ago. I didn't even know there was a "full term" berried opae ula in the tank.

There's at least 5 shrimplets. Lots to hide behind in this tank, including live rock and macro algae, so there could be more.

Can't wait for the larvae to be released, Ken!

A ways to go, though.

Re: Adding water

Dang, Harry, I may have to try that with my new 10 gallon tank. The most I ever see is three out of nearly 25 of them.

The tank is covered, though, so in order to do it I may have to drain a bit of the water first...

The berried opae did show up for the first time in a week today! :-)

After a week (literally!) of anxiety, the berried opae ula made her first appearance in the un-everything 10 gallon tank:

Re: How often should I see berried shrimp in my 5 gal. tank?

Hi Jill,

How are the larvae doing?

I haven't had any more berried opae in my original tank since the three gave "birth" at the end of January.

Thinking it's gonna be one of those "wait and see" things.
