Have you decided to run a sponge filter or not?
For those who have no filters, how do you deal with that film that produces on the top of the water?

Does anyone have experience or insight into live rock and sand being used in supershrimp tanks? My only concern would be HITCHHIKERS. Crabs, other shrimp worms.. I am also interested in this. Are any substrates safe? I was going to get some sort of natural PH neutral black substrate and mix it with crushed coral.

I wouldnt imagine it would be a good idea. They would need some oxygen once in a while. I'm not expert but I think it would be healthier if you had some oxygen going to the surface.
