Okay so i decied to get ruby red ramshorn snails for my shrimp tank and keep the clams with my axies. Cant wait to get them

thanks guys, oh by the way the sponge filter took up too much room and looked stupid in my 5G, so i put in my spare duetto mini submersible filter, its nice and cleans better.

I do have a question for you javagirl how do you know, rather what do dead clams look like since they dont move much right?

i want one of these guys bad but the shipping is so high online.

Actually i already have clams coming the guy selling them lives in texas, its too late well they might die on the way but i am assuming its hotter in texas so he will include an ice pack, if anything i'll keep them with my axolotls in cooler temperatures. So no biggie i guess

Hmm they are supposed to be shrimp safe? they are filter feeders, i heard people raising shrimp babies and fish fry with this bad boy and he never hurt anything

Are these also known as Vampire Shrimp? I seen those they look cool

thanks for the advice i am getting plants soon hopefully my shrimp get here tomorrow. If my plants dont i'll temp house them for 2 days or so they should be here by monday for sure.

Well i decided to go with some clams instead see how they do, should be fun and different

basically i want a snail to maybe clean up after the shrimp or something, in case i over feed etc. i do have an air sponge filter, by the way my air sponge filter tube doesnt fit all the way in the water a little is outside does that affect it from runnign smoothly, i know nothing about these things...

Well these snails seem to be growing up to a 1" which is good small snail = less poop
