I have used Flubenol and Metronidazole in tanks with shrimp and it seems to do no harm. I heard that Levamisole is safe to shrimp, however, I have not checked this myself.
But in case of worms, Metronidazole is useless.

I'll be in Chicago. I've been to Chicago last December and visited a few pet stores specializing in aquaristics. Except for some Amano shrimp and Atyopsis moluccensis - nothing :( Anyway, I always look at the bright side of life ;) Not being able to take some shrimp with me is not a tragedy, althoug...

Has strong antibacterial properties, lowers the pH and gives water a nice, yellow-brownish color. I used it once to get rid of ...

I have been breeding shrimp for years and I have never had any sudden, mysterious breaks in reproduction. If there were breaks, it was because of food or water issues. Older shrimp breed less often than young ones. At least, that is what we observed. However, I would not make a big fuss about this....

Bringing shrimp to the US
I know this was mentioned in a different topic, but my problem is how to LEGALLY bring shrimp from Europe to the USA. I'm moving to the States and want to take some (OK, let's say A LOT ;) ) shrimp with me. I can arrange for a vet's certificate. Has anyone did this before? Smuggling is not for me, I...

Red Claw CAN hunt for other small shrimp if really hungry - at least mine did. I fed my Red Claws with algae-eating shrimp. However, as Mustafa mentioned, they never attacked the babies. Maybe they don't hunt for anything too small to fill up their bellies? ;) They can eat their own babies, probably...
