Help IDing a shrimp
So, I have had a macro shrimp for quite some time that i thought was a red claw. It turns out my local LFS has started breeding them and what they have looks nothing like what i have. Mine is really deep read, almost maroon, with some yellow markings on its back. I would post a picture but i don't h...

Soapdish Crab questions

I know this is a shrimp forum, but considering how knowledgable you guys are i figured i might as well ask... Does anyone on this forum know much about Soapdish Crabs? According to the shrimp varieties page there doesn't seem to be anything that fits your request. Red nose shrimp would do alright in the same water, but they have a normal breeding process. Cajun dwarf crayfish might be good for your tank though. However, they might freak out the cherries. Caridina ...

It sounds like as long as you got mature amanos that they would be fine. Smaller ones might get eaten by the loaches. It is really hard to say with 100% certainty, sometimes fish just aren't into shrimp. I have amanos, bamboos, and red claw macro with my bolivian ram and mollies and female bettas an...

Honestly, i have no idea why they won't let me leave the light on. But the specifically said i couldn't leave them plugged in. I can't really get a timer to work well because i have two seperate lights. The only plants i have are java moss, java fern, and then some kind of wort plant that is dying a...

I've had to do the same thing, moving to and from school, twice so far this year. Unfortunately, my only tank is 40 gallons (with 20 of water) so the whole operations is crazy. Plus i have frogs and fish to deal with. I've always taken the whole tank apart and drained it as much as possible. Leaving...

Yeah i read it. I've been varying his diet some more. I found some shrimp pellets that i bought and never used a while ago. He seems ok. As far as aggressive fish, i don't think i have any. It is just that whenever i put any food into the tank all of the fish lunge for it and the macro attacks them ...

I looked at my red claw this morning and noticed he was missing one of his red claws! I don't know what could have ripped his arm off. I think maybe he tried to defend himself right after a moult and accidentally got his arm stuck to an angry fish. His arm will grow back right? Also, i have been fee...
