good idea, i should check out the local clubs or see when they have a fish auction. any ideas on how to find these guys? i did a search on the net but didnt find much local to me

good idea thanks, i have mts, pond, and small ramshorn snails. but i think only the mts dig in the sand. how long have you had this set up with the sand and mts for? i might have to try this thanks

i asked my lfs about sand type gravels, they all say that it will compact and create poisones gases that will get trapped and when released will kill the fish. should i mix the sand and gravel together? is pure sand ok? should i have some type of animals that will dig down into it? if so which types...

if you have true dwarf frogs they should not bother full grown shrimp and the shrimp should not bother the frogs. if you have a frog sold under dwarf but if getting big as heck he is no dwarf he will eat anything and everything he can find.

um yea some guy named bestgiftidea or something sales 100 ghosts for $10 on ebay. i might have to try to buy them, all i ask is for some healthy ones to breed :). yea its cold as heck so ill have to wait till the summer i guess to buy them, otherwise they will sit in front of my house all day in 20 ...

lol. $4 for amanos what a bargin!!!!!!!! eahhaehae, i guess it all depends were you live. im to lazy to put my baby amanos in the salt water, plus i have no clue about salt water either. but hey if they sale them for $4 and you sell them to them for $2 thats pretty decent. my water here in Wisconsin...

thats why it is odd. the ghost shrimp go for .05-.29 each so they are super cheap. but most fish stores around here will not carry them anymore since they say most of them die. they are raised like feeder goldfish, so be eaten and live maybe a week. but they are raised so poorly. i only wish i could...

the lfs watned $100 for 100lb bag of sand ouchhhhhhhhh. im going to goto my local hardware store and see about getting play sand thanksssss

funny all the lfs and big box stores have told me stay away from sand omg its so bad. i always thought they were full of it. i mean sand is sand, its in nature in ponds in the ocean, streams etc. interesting. thanks for the info!!!!
