Re: New sulawesi shrimp, brand new to the hobby! :)

Re: Starting up help?
I read elsewhere on the forums that if all the shrimps do die off to get a few hardy fish while the tank matures If you want to spend the extra money on Fish that you do not really want, to mature/season your tank you can. I prefer to use Snails ( Not Pond Snails ) to help Season the Tank after the...

Re: Rebirth of the Invert Room
One question, though, won't the rubber "gasket" in the union deteriorate at some point? Seeing that this is not a pressurized system, deterioration should be kept to a minimum. wouldn't you have to cut the union out and replace it? If for some reason I did have to replace a Rubber O-Ring,...

Re: Hemimysis anomala, Freshwater Mysis
I really never thought of them as a Food Source.
Fish Breeders are always looking for a New Live Food.
I was hoping to get a colony going and Replacing the " Sea Monkey "
What a great way to get children into the Shrimp Hobby.
And they will be interesting to have in my Invert Room.

Now that my Caridina sulawesi arrived and are settling into their new home. Re: Hemimysis anomala, Freshwater Mysis
Bob, Thanks for the information. As soon as it warms up a little, I will be attempting to locate them. I have pinpointed a couple of spots that they were collected before. The only problem is, that most of the shoreline is private High $$$ Homes and I do not own a boat. Lake Michigan " The Big ...

We all make mistakes, once in awhile.
Just so we learn from them
I tried to Cut-n-Paste the Chart you were referring too.
But, it would not paste correctly.
Keep Us updated on the progress of your Tank.

Re: red cherry and red crystal
The Compatibility Chart is a good start.
Another thing to take into consideration is the Water Parameters that your Red Cherry Shrimp ( RCS ) are in now and the water requirements for Crystal Red Shrimp ( CRS ).
If they are different, a slow acclimation may be needed.

NO MORE BUCKETS For Water Changes. There was a little more progress in the Invert Room this weekend. ( 2 ) Racks Systems are now connected to the Sewer System. Never mind the Dates on the pictures, I changed the batteries in the camera and this was the default date. http://i44.photobucket.com/album...
