Re: Rebirth of the Invert Room

I have Acrylic Mirror Reflectors above the lights. The light orientation is temporary. I need to find/build a mounting bracket to correctly position the light for proper illumination. The initial thought was to use a L.E.D. mini spot light. The Angle/Spread of these Bulbs was to narrow for the "...

Re: Rebirth of the Invert Room

Making them easy to maintain was a key point. Less time in maintaining, Means more time to ENJOY. I have broken countless pieces of glass in the past using only 1 or 2 piece tops. On these 20longs, I like to use 4 piece tops. Now that I have the finally layout for the Water & Air Lines installed...

Re: Shrimp Ignoring food?

When feeding,
Only feed enough that can be eaten in 20 minutes.
If you only have 4 Shrimp in your tank and if they are finding enough to eat off of the Plants and Substrate, I would not worry to much about feeding.
How old is the Tank ?

Re: Troubled with dying shrimp

Hello mondrin My one LFS thought perhaps the shrimp were not getting enough food or the right balance of food as wasn't feeding them specifically. I've had my planted community tank for a year and a half If your tank has been running for 1 1/2 years, there will be enough Bio-Film for Shrimp to eat w...

Welcome aboard.
Haven't found info about how to season a tank in preparation for shrimp.
The term " Seasoned " refers to a Older / Aged TanK.

Re: Metabetaeus lohena larvae update

Thanks for the progress notes. As for larvae Collection. The Saltwater Hobbyist use a larvae collecting device that works pretty well. It comes with a small L.E.D. light to attract them to the entrance to the trap. It is kept in place on the side of your tank will magnets. I will look around and see...
