Bamboo shrimp

About a month ago I set up a shrimp tank, which includes two Bamboo shrimp. I'm looking to pick up some food for them to supplement their feeding; I read somewhere online in a care sheet that I should use food designed for filter feeding invertebrates. However, I've never had to purchase this before...

handicap lobster?

A while ago I picked up an electric blue lobster at the petstore and he's been growing quite rapidly. His newest tank is a 20gallon and I thought it was secure but he pushed up the lid and jumped out in the middle of the night. When I found him in the morning he barely moved when I touched him and h...

Well I'm happy to report that the little guy is doing fantastic, it's only been 5 days and I haven't seen him molt... but all his legs are grown back!! Most look full sized except for one midget leg. He's out and about too, aggresive to defend his tank when we venture too near, glad to see he's got ...

Thanks for the info guys, hopefully he's not sick and just stressed. I'm sure he'll be happy in his new home, in that tank he'll be king and if he does get big there's a 33g he can claim

He was that color when I got him, only had him overnight so far. He has a 20g tank and his only roomate is a snail, I've fed him some shrimp pellets and he likes those, hopefully he'll get healthy for me. As to a top view, my better half is the better photographer... I hope this works for you. http:...

New to crayfish, help with ID please

Hi, I've had my shrimp tank for ages now(haven't posted in a long time though) and the other day I bought an "Electric Blue Lobster" I think it kind of looks like Cambarellus Shufeldtii but am new to crays. Is there a Cray Varieties page I don't know about? http://img260.imageshack.us/img2...

I tend to get a flurry of motion when I dump in a pinch of powdered food, they love to swim upsidedown at the surface to grab at it.

the LFS here in town actually just brought in a group of 3 Electric Blue Lobsters, and although they do look like the picture posted the color is much more impressive in person, various shades of metallic blue, awsome looking.

My brother has one of those expensive camera's also. It cost him like $1200.00. I am still working on him to let me use it. Maybe someday and then I will post pics with it. If he's spent 1200$ on a camera he might be a bit of a photo buff and willing to snap some fancy photos for you? My GF has an ...

Have you seen them eating at all? Does it pick food up or filter it? It's very similar in color and patern to a Bamboo shrimp I have but I have no idea what you have. Nice shrimp though!

GB, that's another fantastic picture. The last one you posted of the white stipe is exactly what I was talking about and no picture I could take would ever do justice to it, thanks, and you're right it does look way cooler in person.

I did do a search - perhaps I'm not using the correct keywords. The link you provided was appreciated but not really helpful, as it basically talked about trapping the snails that are in the tank and I am asking about a shrimp-safe way to disinfect new plants before they are added to the tank so I ...

Ecir Thank You for Sharing Your Photo. How long have you been working on them ? Or were lucky enough to buy them that way. John Well I've had my shrimp for about 7months now and that's the only one that looks like that. I bought about 14 and now it's probably around 100 with just one that's that re...
