Does anyone know if there are any articles regarding the evolution of these different types of juvenile development... I imagine that the fossil record for larva ia nonexistent....But maybe there’s some genetic cladograms out there.... Does anyone know of any strictly freshwater species that still h...

I seperated my shrimp and Cajuns (just in case the crays harrassed the shrimp at all and when I get larger populations of both I hoped to mix them in another tank)....Im still waiting and hoping that both m...

Order a minimum order from Mustafa and ask him to be sure to include a couple of males just to be sure. LFS will have nearly 100% females unless they get them form local breeders. The red ones sell, the pale ones don't, unless you are someone in the know. Sex ratio in tank bred shrimp are about 50-...

I think since they have a normal life larvae go through several planktonic stages before metamorphosing into post-larvae (miniature shrimp) and assuming a benthic lifestyle. For this process they need brackish water to full strength saltwater. So I imagine this means that if you want to breed them y...

I'm not saying hair algae will hurt them, it is just the things that lead to hair algae tend to be things harmful to shrimp. If you have not been doing routine weekly water changes, you need to start right away. Im definitely going to start....But I wanted to wait for the shrimp to be settled in th...

Yes, those are red cherry shrimp alright. I see you have some hair algae. Do you do regular water changes? Shrimp are a lot more sensitive to nitrates and phosphates and other stuff than fish. A 10%-20% water change per week is the minimum. Good luck with them! They are a bit less than a cm long......

So what do these look like....
They were advertised as Red Cherry Shrimp.... I bought four cause they were too expensive to buy more.... I should be getting my new shrimp soon and I figured if these were the same it would be good to have additional genetic material to mix up with the offspring.... Sorry for teh poor pictures this...
