The red claw are best kept by themselves if you value the life of fish or other macros. You can keep them with shrimp such as the cherry shrimp. I have kept them in a setup for 3 months this way and they are both proliferating just fine. Guppies do okay to some extent. They breed almost fast enough ...

Not sure if they favor anyone veggie in particular but I have fed boiled zuchinii, cucumber, frozen spinach, frozen collard greens(I freeze these myself), crushed peas, cut green beans and lettuce(no nutrition in lettuce though). I feed the lettuce mostly to my snails when it goes bad in fridge. But...

I read all the info now I want some. Sounds like a real good species to keep going in the hobby. A native species that needs help. A good cause and a good reason to propagate this species.

I use the hikari bits as well as anything else I can put in their tanks. Fresh veggies, fruit, flake food, pellets, frozen foods, live foods and even an occasional fish corpse. "yummy"
I believe in a variety of foods and the crays and shrimp love it.

When this happens in my cajun tanks I take the female out and put her in a 2 1/2 gallon tank by herself. I slowly nurse her back to health. Half the time this works. Sometimes she is just to injured. I have a female right now that is holding eggs isolated. She is missing about 5 of her legs and 1 cl...

I have never seen this in my tanks. But it is hard to see what's going on in there sometimes with all the crap I keep in their tanks. I finally moved one of my cajun tanks to eye level so I can see what's going on. They like to climb :D Maybe I will get to see other interesting behavior.

I have noticed this in my tanks as well. I am pretty sure it has to do with the phermones the crays naturally release. It kind of puts them all in sync. This happens with female humans as well. Not molting. But their monthly cycles will align if they live under the same roof for a long period of tim...

congratulations!!!!!! I just took apart one of my blue cray tanks yesterday. It was set up for about 3 months with 1 male and 4 females. I had over 100 crays in there when I counted. There were about 10 crays the same size as the adults. These crays grow fast. I can even see the blue at a quar...
