Look at this pic though ...in it is a "seed shrimp"(an Ostracod) and a baby shrimp....which does yours look like?

Well congrats!.... Hopefully things continue to work out for you. It is so much less stressful(for the human) when you have a self perpetuating population(of shrimp/crays).

Well there is probably more information about this if you searched the forums....
Personally I would start off with five and breed them up to a larger population...(youll need to feed them though obviously)

I do not feed mine. I keep them with Malawa Shrimp, Gammarus, Leeches, Red Ramshorns, MTS Snails, Pond Snails, Tubifex Worms and various other little animals that hitched rides in the Gammarus and Leeches purchase.......They are in about 55 gallons of water... Only problem I'm having is that over ti...

Get some Assassin Snails(they eat snails)...Or you could just wait after several months the population tends to become more stabilized and they are less noticeable....Snails are great...And I would say avoid feeding the shrimp(and let them feed on the naturally occurring food that grows in the tank)...

If I really wanted to save the shrimp I wouldve spent like 12 bucks for a ten gallon tank, set up some simple water movement in the tank and add gravel from the cycled tank(before you added the meds). Then I would wait until the fish were cured and several water changes later over several days(till ...

Yeah those are eggs....But they are snail eggs....Probably from the Rams horn Snails....
