By chance I noticed a white spec on the glass of my tank. On closer inspection I realised it was a shrimp. It measured 3mm in length. The shrimp is white to the naked eye and hand lense. I trust it to be newly hatched. The suspected mother is hiding in the moss so no picture is available.

Thank you for your input. If I add the puka shell I will do it sparingly and over time.

Currently I do not have any substrate. The tank bottom was initially clean but now has detritus in unsightly little piles like dust bunnies.
