Re: New tank started 11-17-2017 after broken ecosphere.
I would even go for 1.014/1.013 for the salinity, I’ve read that for reproduction, the best range is abouth this

Re: Algae buildup on tank glass
What was suggested above is the best method. And, no, don't feed. They get MORE than enough nutrition from whatever grows in there. Also, go read our member "tooth"'s post right at the top of the forum (it's a sticker and always stays on top). He hasn't fed for years (4+ years) and he has...

Re: low PH because of drift wood good for supershrimp?
I just a beginner, but i had a piece of cholla wood, it was boiled for half an hour (it wasn't too big, just 8 inches long and pretty thin) and it was then placed in the aquarium. Of course, there was staining in the water (which at first, I didn't know it would happen) and I hated it! After it bein...

Re: Halocaridina rubra reproduction question
Maybe I should take it out...
But well, at least I hope they end up reproducing (the shrimps)
The tank is cycled and no hitchhikers survived and most were removed.

Re: Max. opae population in a 1 1/2 gallon bowl?
Hm, I see. Well, at least the seller that sold me the shrimps sends them from Spain, so it’s a short trip. Do you think that my shrimps will reproduce in there? (it looks like there are both males and females) Here are better pics of the tank: http://www.petshrimp.com/discussions/viewtopic.php?f=16&...

Re: Do marimo balls survive in brackish water? (Experiment)
The real test if a Marimo ball can make it in a Supershrimp tank is if it actually multiplies. Just sitting there "surviving" for months being green isn't a real test as a lot of freshwater plants can also do this (java moss, java fern, Suesswassertang etc.) but they are just slowly dying...

Re: Halocaridina rubra reproduction question
Hi, my 10 shrimps arrived about a week ago and I just wanted to know if my tank looks good enough as for shrimps to reproduce in it in the future or once they’re confortable enough. Re: My success story
Thanks! my opae arrived yesterday and they don’t seem to get tangled in the hair algae. There is not much of it, it seems to not thrive too well and remains inside its limits. I will remove it someday but the shrimp don’t seem to get tangled in it. I don’t have a chaeto so I don’t have to ...

Re: What to feed opae ula
I would like my shrimp to have a full nutrition and so. I've heard they're omnivorous but i'm not sure if they will eat betta pellets or goldfish flakes.
