I havent had anything like that happen with my Malawa shrimp. Thus far everyone's eggs have been black....

Im curious though, when you witnessed the unusual colored eggs, were all the eggs the shrimp was carrying this color or just a handful?

There are a bunch of threads in the forum regarding this. Pretty easy to search the forum to find it....Here is one that I found when searching "Oak"

yeah ...I was just hoping that there was something out there that preferred gammarus....or rather was better at getting gammarus over baby shrimp...I dont want either populations wiped out...looking to increase diversity

Thanks for the response Mustafa, as always your experience and expertise is valuable. Theres a lot of organic material in the setup I have right now....so I imagine they are going to become an issue with the shrimp. *Grumbles* Anyone have any ideas of an organism I can add to the tank that would fee...

I use a Whisper Power Filter which agititates the water a bit....I had not really thought of using an air stone....because I just hate those things...they look so unnatural.... ....But if its for the life of the shrimp I could try it.....

I used to use Oak leaves but I eventually stopped because I had not noticed any remarkable difference in the tank without them....
I suppose I could start soaking some for use in this tank.....
