Potatoe & Peas are great. They don't seem to like Carrots much. Just be carefull with the potatoes don't put too much in or it can pollute the water with starch.

Some of them can actually hurt your fish. Their larva are parasitic & will infect your fish. Only certain species though.

Sounds like you are doing great. Crayfish will do well on many foods. Variety is the key though.

Shrimp pellets, fresh veggies, protein flake.

If your crayfish has Shell rot you should remove the shell after the molt to prevent reinfection. It can't be cured once started but can be slowed down until the next molt with melafix.

It doesn't. It helps the crayfish recover. When the water gets too hot the disolved Oxygen level goes lower than the crays can tolerate. You need to cool them down & oxygenate the water as much as possible.

Are you talking about the little white worms that attach to the shell of crays & other such things?? If so they are not harming anything but if you want to take them off I usually scrape them off with a finger nail or tooth brush. You could also do a 3 minute formalin bath.

Honestly its not that critical. I usually go for a 50/50 split of low fat protein & frozen veggies.

You have to remember in nature they are scavangers & will eat whatever they can get so if you give them a varried diet they will do great IMO.

Ok well that changes things. If they are still just babies they may change a lot when full grown. Many crays have this pattern when small then lose it as an adult.

Definately not a Procambarus clarkii (Red Swamp Crayfish). Looks like a Marble Cray. Where did you get these crays from. I may be able to give you a better idea.

You can usually keep a pretty good number of dwarfs in a 10gallon tank. As far as the Larger Blue crayfish prob (Procambarus alleni) I usually recommend 10gallons per adult cray.
