i dont know if it is the good forum but it is a shrimp , even if it is saltwater shrimp it is a shrimp :)\
anybody maintin this shrimp, and/or breed them, they produce baby but really hard to keep them alive
any info will greatly appreciate.

The problem is, that i have them both in the same tank with lots of Java moss......

hi werner. yep that's really a important information. do you mean they will not survive without this substarte or the color will disapear without this sponge ? That's not necessarily the case. In my opinion that's actually highly unlikely. The shrimp eat diatoms/algae on the sponge, not the sponge ...

Maybe the bigger problem with theese species could be that the bright colored shrimp live rather substrate-specific (C. spongicola for instance, not imported for aquarium puroposes until now, is restricted to a freshwater sponge). Hi zapisto Yes The Procambarus Species are alot easier to sex the males. The biggest problem with the Cherax Species. Is that they are some what new to the Hobby here in the US and most of the Wholesalers can not sex them correctly. And it get costly, Ordering them in from a Pet Store at $30 retail...
