I also have RCS in tank with crypto and anubias. No problems.

BUT do you someone have CRS in tank with thies plants? They should be more sensitive to this oxalates.

I'm not sure with KNO3 but most shrimps are sensitive to NO3. eg: Serrata groupe. Other like RCS don't mind higher NO3. I am personaly not sureif is it good idea to add KNO3 to shrimp tank.

I have 2" SAE and can't exactly say if they are eating babies. But in tank with them I have strange looses of tiny RCS. In tank without SAE no major losts...
That's my experience. Maybe no all SAE eats it.

shrimps are safe in shrimp only tank only. at least SAE can eat babies, others I don't know.

i just added 2 bamboo shoots Those "lucky bamboo" plants that are being sold are not bamboo at all and do not live in water. The lower leaves are cut and they are grown in a way to resemble bamboo. They will die off in water after a while and should be grown just like any other potted pla...

The smaller should be OK. But Im not sure of bigger one. Amount of shrimps there is to hight I thing. (4 not feeding).

My frend has C. denticulata in 15Litre tank, well planted, there is aprox. 15 adults and some offspring. She never feed them, they live of algae found.
But dont take it as "guide", I would not be responsible for your shrimp lost :)

I feed my shrimp once a week. And they haven't problems. True is, that tank is fully planted and much algae is there. But 5 days is nothing without food for shrimp, they always find some food in the tank.

thanx for help, as hard water I mean higher GH and/or KH. I red somewhere (maybe here) that babaulties need harder water to breed and CRS softer. But as you wrote, that is only one paramether.

When I try put BB and RC together and try crossbreeding, how can I know that they crossbreed? I thing that every shrimp other then red-white is a hybrid, because two RC cant have other than red-white offspring. Right?
