Already read that. Not accurate enough as a few can range from 2-9 before becoming a centimeter. I need accurate size.
Thanks,
Larry Vires

shrimp size
Hello, As I posted in my RCS thread, I recently found a small group of 1/4 inch juvies in my RCS tank. I was hoping to find out the newborn size when they started spawning, but apparently missed out on that piece of crucial info. I've got other projects going that do need the info, so I'm hoping tha...

German isn't that difficult, and actually shares a lot of roots with Swedish. The most difficult part is the way a lot of words are run together. I've yet to see a textbook or software that can prepare you for that. At times, it can seem like an entire sentence is in one word. With that said, the pu...

Hello, The bacteria involved in cycling tanks are rather specific to water conditions, and are not capable of adapting as salinity changes. Your best option is going to be to find a fellow hobbyist or shop that can squeeze you some filter grunge. Without that option, you will probably be looking at ...

I had been using thiosulphate when I originally started this project, but switched to using Prime on a hunch about 3 weeks in. There was no real change, but the deaths stopped. This is the point that I noticed that they were molting more often than what would be considered normal. I assumed that thi...

Hello all, It's been a busy couple weeks, but I thought it may be worthwhile to update this thread. Last week, after what seems like an eternity, I finally found obvious proof that the red cherries are finally doing well enough in my tanks. I managed to find 3 babies about 1/4 inch long :-D I now th...

I've used the powder for brine shrimp, but don't think mixing ahead of time is a good idea. This is asking for a bacterial bloom. Even though they will eat the bacteria, it is not going to be the dietary equivalent of the spirulina. A better way would probably be to mix your slurry in smaller, singl...

Hello, I've changed my routine a bit since realizing that there may be a problem. I'm now using water from one of my BN tanks as replacement water. That tank is currently getting daily 10% water changes, so the replacement water is reasonably fresh, but aged enough to prevent WC problems. It may see...

Hello, My German is a bit rusty, but I can understand enough of that piece to know that it says they are marine/salt water tolerant. I would assume that a slow acclimation to freshwater, maybe 5% per day would be acceptable for something which obviously isn't going to migrate all that fast. Hopefull...

molting problems???
Hello all, I've been away for a couple days for the birth of my daughter, but have a rather pressing question about molting in my cherry tank. Since starting the tank, I've gone through a series of deaths and finally think I've got them figured out. Because of the small tank size 1 1/2 gallons, I ha...
