Thanks for the nice welcome.

I do not have blue Tüpfel myself. They are very rare. They are darker in color. Look like blue tiger shrimp, but have no stripes, only some spots. They are a Caridina species, too, apparently.

Well there seems to be an exception to any rule :-D
Are you sure that you are talking about a Cambarellus patzcuarensis var orange and no orange Procambarus clarkii? The photo on your site shows a clarkii but says orange dwarf.

You should boil all leaves before adding to a tank. There are pretty nasty things you can bring to your tank with leaves. Like planaria, hydra and so on.
Those do not always require water, but can live in a permanently humid leave layer on the ground of a forest, too.

Actually blue and red ramshorn snails are the same species. Why should one color morph eat plants and the other does not?
Are you sure that your plants are live and healthy and the snails do not just eat the part rotting away?

These do breed totally true. I got 10 of them in the first place and now have about a hundred, that look like that. I will try to take a picture of a larger group, and show it to you, however that will be difficult with my camera. Blue pearl shrimp are not bred from white snowball shrimp. You can ea...
