Last 3 out of 12, OUCH  What happened to the rest? I had the impression they were an easy species to keep, not particular about water chemistry. I have been considering ordering a pair from Germany, but if someone as experienced as yourself is having such trouble with them, I think I'll wait...

I don't want to rain in on the party, but having ovigerous females does not guarantee offspring in shrimp and crayfish (far from it). The really hard part is to keep the offspring alive after hatching. If water parameters are not to their liking, the offspring die off almost immediately (within a d...

Easiest way to tell is to sex all your crayfish the proper way by looking at the gonopods & if they are all female & start extracting eggs that hatch you have a marble cray. 100%

The melafix will make it get better with every moult. What happens if the SHell rot gets bad is it will actually create a hole in the shell causing damage to the flesh underneath. After the moult you will still see the damage underneath. If you treat with Melafix (ALL THE TIME) it will slow the prog...

Nope no introduced species in BC. None would survive against the natives. They are very aggressive.

All the species in BC can come in a variety of colors depending on enviroment.

Yes that is Shell Rot or Burn spot. There is NO cure. All you can do is slow it down until the crayfish can moult.

The best thing to use is Melafix. Then once the crayfish moults remove the old shell as soon as possible & start doing water changes.
