The picture you posted also looks like C. schmitti?

And the diminutus illustration looks a little different than the one you posted next to picture. The points under eyes.

Any chance you have a schmitti?

Sorry to hear about your loss. Alot of municipalities are using ammonia in the water system. They will not always tell you this when you call. They are very tight lipped. They may tell you off the record if you ask. Some use it in the form of chloramine and others flush their systems with ammonia on...

You won't need containers for these. You should have babies in 2 weeks. Congrats! :P

I would love to be able to do that. But a family and responsibilities keep me grounded. Maybe in a couple years when I'm rich :D .

I am currently keeping C. shufeldtii, C. patzcuarensis(orange/wild mix) and C. chapalanus. Only babies of shufeldtii so far. Looks like I have to do some work to catch up to Pedro. Or at least the crayfish do.

I use both hbh flakes and the crab bites and have never noticed any impact on the shrimp or crayfish I feed. These are not staple diets for them. I feed something different every day. And I do water changes once a week. I would not recommend to feed these foods exclusively. Change it up a little. Ja...

I do not "Bee"lieve in cross breeding either. I keep all my species seperated. I am also in the fish hobby and agree with Paul. There are far to many crossbreeds in the hobby right now and I would hate to see this happen with inverts as well. Keep it pure, keep it simple. Alot can be done ...

With a new batch of babies comes new hope for your colony. They will adapt much better to your conditions and will thrive much easier if raised by you. Cajuns are generally tough though to begin with. Good luck with your eggs and may you have many babys soon.

Yes they are more or less see through with a blue coloration. One of the group photos kind of shows this. It's better to see them in person to see this. If I had a better camera it would be easier to show everyone this. Maybe I will borrow my brothers and take some new pics.
