Mustafa, Are you familiar with Indian Almond leaf (a.k.a. Catappa leave) ? Do you think the Bee shrimp are sensitive to it ? I used one leaf per gallon to lower the pH. I have some black and white strip bee shrimps and some common bee shrimps. I keep them together with Yamato shrimp and Red Cherry shrimp. I'm wondering if it will cross with:
- Crystal Red shrimp
- Red Cherry shrimp

What is the pH? The toxic effect of nitrItes is maginfied by a low (<6.5) pH. Yes, my pH = 6.5 Retest the KH. 0 would be unusual. I did it twice and it still show zero. I just threw in a slice of RAW sweet potato. The shrimps seem to have problem gnawing it.. perhaps it's too hard ? Anyway, how long can I leave the RAW or cook sweet potato in the tank ?
