But none of mine ever seem to live more than a couple weeks in my tanks, even though my other shrimp do ...

How large did you want to go, have you checked out the Macros on the variaties page? According to the info the Red Claws are fairly prolific breeders. Breeding of this shrimp happens almost "automatically" as long as proper conditions are given (i.e. clean water, food etc.). Of course you ...

That's not to say they won't get lucky and catch a shrimp unawares every once in a while (I've just never seen it happen). Mostly, I only see them go aft...

I've never checked my hot water but I always use it and haven't had any problems. The GF has been doing it for years with no effect on her fish... although it's granted that shrimp would be more succeptible to metals in the water.

I've also bought Ghost shrimp at Petsmart and they got ID'd by Mustafa as the freshwater Palaemonetes paludosus, I would assume they label(or misslabel) the same in each store.

I know this is touching on an old thread but I didn't feel it nessecary to start a whole new topic on the same thing. Based on the information from this original post I thought it would be ok to have a dwarf frog in my shrimp tank. For the past few months everything has been fine, great color on th...

Does that mean you succesfully bred them? I thought that has yet to be done in captivity?
