opae ula larvae attached to one another

Post by dndvictory »

I found these 3 larvae attached to each other on the substrate. They are startled by an adult opae ula. http://youtu.be/DrmvxfMmVJ0

That may be them not having been able to separate during dropping or it’s just a rare genetic mutation.
How are thy doing now? Any pics of the tanks these days?
Good luck!

Very interesting! Missed this post/video altogether years ago I guess. It looks like they just dropped from the mother right before swimming/floating free. After a day or two they all turned into free floating larvae.
