Breeding Indian/Rainbows

Post by samosette »

Is there anyone breeding these shrimps or know more about them? I'm having somewhat of a hard time finding more information about them or finding someone with experience raising them. Not even exactly sure what they are called.... either rainbows... or Indian Algaes.. I have about 30 babies running around in my tank now. They seem to be different colors ranging from clear, red, and green they are really neat little shrimps. Not sure but I supose they come in different colors. I have some adults but not sure if they are indeed rainbow. They do tent to change colors from red to brown and green. Weired. But cool. Anyone raising these?

Are those Malayan shrimps? As far as I know, only Malayan shrimp comes in a multitude of colours. I've seen brown, red, clear, black, orange and blue malayan.

If it is, then they will breed like the cherries, CRS, bees and tigers.

Cheers,
