Excellent!

Now that I'm watching I see mine mating all the time. I think it must be pretty much non-stop!

My 2 Females are berried all the time.

I have 7 Males and only 2 Females.

The young C. shufeldtii are alot smaller the the C. patzcuarensis .

I just put more leaf litter in, for them to hide in.

Newjohn,

One of the texts I read recently suggested that females lose eggs due to harrassment by males when they are carrying eggs.

Try isolating your berried females in a floating plastic guppy breeder and you might find that your females produce more offspring.

Congrats on the babies! :-D

I just found out tonight that one of my females is berried up with 15 or so dark eggs as well...

You won't need containers for these. You should have babies in 2 weeks. Congrats! :P

Just a update

I have removed 17 Young Crayfish, and put them in a grow out tank.

Out of the 17, 3 have " The Blue" coloration. Nothing like the one, in the first pictures.
They seem to lose the bright Blue as the mature. I hope this generation will keep more of the Blue coloration.

I have babies crays all over the place now and at least 4 are the nice light blue. I also have two females withbabies on their bellies "pudding bellies" as I call them, and two more females loaded up with eggs.

The is Great News
Please, when you get time, could you post a few pictures ?

With only 1 "Blue" Female, It will be awhile for myself to get a good Breeding Colony.

I started pulling out juvie crays today. My back gave out when I got to 30. There are loads of infants in there too, but I'll leave them in the main tank to grow out. Most are showing lots of blue! Hard to tell from this picture though:

Two of my females are berried up again. Looks like the pudding bellies let the babies loose. They should mate again soon too.
