Real red tail shrimp?

Real red tail shrimp?
Hi everyone,
Are there actual shrimp that have red tails?
One of the LFS got some in and so far they are clear with no coloration (they just came in today, so they are stressed).
I think they are dwarf shrimp as the employees said that are smaller then amanos.
Thanks,
TKD

I'm not sure where there from but I will find out more tommorow as I will see them before our local aquarium club goes to a koi farm/aquarium maker.
Clear with red tails? That does not sound bad.
So it should breed like green shrimp and have babies that don't need salt phase?
Thank you,
TKD

That pH do they need?such a shrimp does exist. Should be some Caridina species. It does belong to the serrata complex. However not that special in coloration.

Some time ago i bought some shrimps sold as "Red Tail Shrimp" in my lfs, which had them shipped from Singapore.
I don't now the scientific name.
Sometimes the tails get little orange - never red.

I saw them at lunch and to me they look like the "Blue" Neocaridina, the ones that are really not blue and are grey with a bit of stripes....

I won't be getting them as they don't have enough colour for me.
So no red tails...
