I've seen that 'dish' before in some documentary. It turned my stomach. I couldn't stand that 1) the little shrimpies were still alive and 2) the marinade and spices were obviously hurting them.
In the video I saw, they showed the shrimp (that looked very much like a kind of grass shrimp) being dipped in the juice. As soon as it hit them, they started jumping around like they had hit an electrified plate :cry:

My boyfriend uses this scenario to tease/punish me now. If I 'misbehave' he threatens to pull out my shrimp by the handful and eat them in that style :smt019
