Very nice pictures, thanks for sharing. I too have bumble bee shrimps that look very much like the one you showed. I have a berried female and the eggs can hatch any day/moment now
Re: Some of my shrimps!
Great photos. Also what type of plants are in the bumble bee shrimp photo?
Also Neonshrimp you need 1 more post for 2000 posts.

Thanks, you mean the third pic? I usually get specimens which have a much darker blue (some jet black) with white or transpaernt stripes. Congrats on that berried shrimp!Neonshrimp wrote:Very nice pictures, thanks for sharing. I too have bumble bee shrimps that look very much like the one you showed. Great pics, and beautiful shrimp! YOur English is awesome too, BTW My stepmom and stepsister are from Mainland China (my parents were both from Taiwan, and I was born in this country) and they didn't speak a word of English when they came to the US.

Neon, from what I've heard from Australian hobbyists, most of the shrimp available to them are native. Lots of macrobrachium, especially. They have very strict import laws regarding livestock, so I think pet dwarf shrimp are illegal Very sad, eh? But they are an island nation, so must be extra careful with biological entities.

Very true. The common carp and gold-fish have infested the waters of N.S.W (where I used to live) and besides native fish, some cichlids, marine fish, gold-fish, koi and bettas guppies platies mollies... it's hard to even find a silver aro and the prices are really crazy. But there are alot of very interesting native fish like the Murray Cod, Barramundi, Silver perch, Desert Goby, Saratoga.
