John,

This is the same species as the apricot cray...just different color varieties. I.e....they can interbreed. It would be interested to see what the result of such a cross would look like.

It is hard to believe that the Orange tip is a holthuisi, but anything is possible.
I have not seen it listed on the German sites I visit. ( Look at the pictures )

This species has a vary wide range of color.

Apricot - Faint Orange
Pink Coral - A odd color not really orange or pink
??? - faint blue
??? - Faint Orange & Faint Blue
Orange tip - wich have several color variations. I have 1 male that is almost all black with just the tips of his claws Orange.

I may have to try and breed them together when I have more offspring.

From what I have learned from a friend
This Cray can have 3 different colored tips.
They are Orange, Red, and even Yellow.
I will be receiving a few of the Red Tips but not until mid-summer.
And I will have to wait a little longer for the Yellow tip.

I will post pictures when I receiving them
