Pregnant Red-Nose

Post by kimco »

Hi All,

2 of my Rudolf is now carrying eggs. My question will be, when do I transfer the larvae to brackish water, do i do it with the still pregnant shrimp or do i transfer the larvae after it is released???

As I understand from previous posts, since the eggs of my rudolf is small and numerous, then, the larvae will need brackish water to survive, right? What is the concentration of salt in water would be ideal for my rudolf's larvaes?

Any help is much appreciated.

Thanks and cheers,

KG

Remove the larvae close to the birth period and move them to a brackish planted tank.
