Hi guys,
I found a few of my opae ula shrimps having these weird fungus looking thing under the belly of the shrimps. Some have a little, some have more. Couldnt get a better shots now as they are all swimming around. Are those contagious? Do i need to treat them or quarantine them?
These are definitely not eggs. It is like a speck of dust on them.

There's probably just something stuck there. I wouldn't worry about it. That shrimp looks super healthy. Also, these guys don't really develop diseases...I know it sounds weird, but true.
Re: weird black fungus looking thing under shrimp belly
here is another photo of those fungus like thing on the shrimp.
I had those freshwater Fire Red shrimps in my other tanks. Sometimes they do develop some green fungus under the belly. There is no known treatment for those fungus and it will eventually kills the shrimps.
I am afraid it is another variant of those fungus... and that it will spread to other healthy shrimps.

Thanks for the pic! I still think it's just some pieces of organic matter. Just observe the shrimp and let us know about any further changes. Like I said, once it molts it should go away.
