I've had my calcium rocks purchased from Mustafa in my tank for about a year. Does the effect of these rocks wear off over time or are they always "good" and do not require replacing? I've got a 6.5 gallon tank with about 6 gallons of water with 20ish of the rocks piled in a corner. I've bleached them twice due to nasty algae growth, but I don't know if that has any detrimental effects or not. The shrimp love them, they're rocking all over one that I just put back in after having out for about 2 weeks.
Thanks!!

Re: Calcium rocks
The rocks never need to be replaced, they very slowly dissolve to an unnoticeable degree as they buffer the water. If more water were added/replaced, the rocks would react and regulate the pH
