Great idea, for an Engineer :lol: jk. Honestly I hope it does work out great so that the crabs can have more natural condtions to live in. You can even use one of the compartments to very the salinity and see if there is a prefered water condtion. Please keep us updated.

Nice idea!

What type of crabs are you talking about though? Hermits? Or something like the emerald mithrax crab, for SW tanks?

Currently I have become QUITE obsessed with aquatic hermit crabs. Especailly since there is virtually no info about them, anywhere. I'll post a thread about it when I get my research together. I'm also going to start a hermit forum (aquatic, not amphibious land hermits. like the ones you get for a reef tank), once I get enough info together. The biggest issue with hermits, is I have not been able to locate any form of picture, with latin name reference.... :(
