Well to keep it a bit on topic the Hc and plant mass is like a jungle gym for the shrimp!

The plants trap food and such that the fish don't get and it feeds the shrimp.

Just to update the LFS has posted these as green algae eating shrimp...

As we can see they are anything but green

I guess they will name the shrimp whatever they want as long as they sell

So the HC allows the shrimp to have a chance at more food to feed on, good to know.

When they start breeding , What size eggs the Female carries, and what color the offspring are.

There is one of them berried already and it looks similar to that of my RCS but I couldn't find her today to take some pictures

You must have condtions to their liking, do you find them to be as hardy and tolerant of higher temperatures as cherry shrimp?

These are *exactly* what is described as "blue shrimp" on my shrimp varieties page. Unfortunately, the offspring won't have any blue whatsoever. I can guarantee you that.

I don't see any males in your pictures. Do you have blue males in there or were the females ovigerous when you bought them? If the latter is the case, then there is a high likelihood that your females were fertilized by some other Neocaridina sp., (possibly even red cherry males) and hence the offspring are possible hybrids (important thing to know if you are planning on giving other people some of your offspring).

They do sound and look like the "blue" Neocardina sp. on the Shrimp Varieties page. Anyways, they are very cool and those are nice pictures. Congrats on the berried female, though it is a shame that the blue pigmentation is not genetic

Just to update...I have a tank full of clear/grayish little shrimp which obviously came from the blue shrimp.
