The female alredy has the eggs on her pleopods. I´m sorry I have not any photo. She is very shy and I do not want to disturb her by photo creation.

Good luck! The wild simoni are beautiful in their own right, as well.

Definitely I have one female and three males. First egg batch fell down, second also :(. Males are adult, they showed frantic mate behaviour shortly before female egg laying. I consider to use normally colored animals.

Hi,

I would like to inform you about my colorless C.simoni. I still have one adult female and three adult males. Progress in breeding and results:

1. colorless female + three colorless males ----> three egg batches fell down

2. colorless female + three wild colored males ----> one egg batch fell down

3. colorless female + six wild colored males (3 previous + 3 new)----> one egg batch fell down

4. three wild colored females + three colorless males ----> first and second egg batches of all females are OK and developing. Probably all offspring of first egg batches are wild colored (I see only wild colored animals). Second egg batches are still developing or just now hatching.

Next progress:

ad. 4 I will remove parental three wild colored females and I will keep together three parental colorless males with their offspring.

I really like the look of your "ordinary" C. simoni, hope mine will be as nice as these.

I might be a bit stupid but does "egg batch fell down" mean the female dropped the eggs???

Thanks
Lilian

Yes, it generally means that the female did not carry the eggs until they hatched.
