Interesting problem

Post by TKD »

I have and interesting problem.

I have pearl blues in there own tank for about 6 month now and I'm starting to see shrimp that look very similar to snowball shrimp.
Even going as far has having white eggs compared to the brown of the normal pearl blues.

There are less then shrimp total in that tank 20 and some just started to go "snowball ish"

What's going on?

Could they just come from bad stock?

I'm giving my loaches a treat with the white ones, as I'm not sure what else to do with them.

They are all the same species anyway. No need to kill the snowballs, just put them in a separate tank. They should breed true.

So if I were to breed the "odd balls" with the regular snowballs I will not have some reverting to the pearl type at all?
