A crayfish on its back

I was in a local fish store, and the owner gave me a crayfish which is staying only on its back. What can the problem be? I never experienced this kind of thing. It has all feet and in full blue colour. He told me that its been like that for the past three weeks.He stays closed on its back.

What is your tank setup and type of crayfish? Also, have you tested the water for nitrites and ammonia?

You should also check the pH and make sure it is consistent.
