Just got snails

I just received my macro algae and snails. It’s amazing how much life these little ones add to my jar. I can currently see four on the bottom on the sand and four cruising across the underside of the water surface. Can’t see the other two at the moment, but there’s a fair amount of lava rock in there. Is this pretty normal behavior for these snails?
Oh, wait- there’s also one in the clump of algae, so I can see nine of them. They seem to be fast movers for snails.

Yes, it's normal behavior. The snails are burrowing snails and nocturnal for the most part so you won't see all that many on the surface during the day until they reproduce.
