I received my opae ula yesterday. I am utterly fascinated with them and could watch them swim all day.
For the most part, they're pale, which I expected. At least one looks like it has a red saddle.
They seem to be obsessed with the maidenhair algae that someone on another opae ula forum sent me.
I suspect that I'll switch them over to a glass cube at some point, probably in the fall. I'll add a heater because it can get chilly in our apartment between seasons. Also, I think I would enjoy watching them through a flat glass surface. The jar's shape distorts things.
It looks like the jar is half-full. That's an optical illusion. Or a philosophical fault.
