Well, good luck, I was just saying it would be easier to keep an eye on the babies in a smaller tank, by themselves. But whetever way works, then go for it. :D

Don't change the water temperature, if you do, I would wait 'til the babies hatch first. I wouldn't know how a water teperature change during this time would affect the unborn babies. Do you?

Thats odd Newjohn, have you ever though of putting them in a smaller tank ? A ten gallon IS a pretty small tank, but ONLY for a little while, stick only the babies in a small tank...just so you know whats going on. Just keep an eye out on your water conditions as smaller tanks can change water condi...

Exactly, I know, i'm pulling out handfulls weekly on my java moss otherwise it looks very dense. It helps after the java moss takes root, and to do that, spread it out really thin...after that, add several hours of light, and get ready to start pulling every week or so.

Must be doing something wrong then, as I said, been growing it for years.. and every article I have read states its a medium or fast grower, but never once reads its a slow grower... odd, but I guess it would depend on your water and light conditions... but everyone has opinions I guess.

I don't need Mustafas article to know why java moss is prefered, I just wanted to know why someone would say java moss is a slow grower. Java Moss is a fast grower, thats what I said. If you need to, scroll up and reread, and also read the post before me. Thanks

Dwarf crayfish are just like regular crayfish when it comes to mating, they will breed ... if she is going to drop eggs, she won't shed, if she doesn't then she will shed. I haven't found a steady pattern as to when they breed and when they will not. It seems its all up to the males, most females tr...

Water changes, a little cooler than the water in the tank..what I noticed is, take out the female(s) for a few days and then put them back in... it seems like just minutes for the males to grab the females.
